La Pedrera - Barcelona

The World-Heritage listed La Pedrera is one of the world’s most creative buildings and one of the most impressive monuments of the Modernisme with its irregular shapes and curved façade.

This is the world’s most sacred Sikh shrine which was constructed with a mixture of Islamic and Hindu architectural styles. The spectacular building features a lower level that’s made of marble and adorned with floral patterns, and its second level features golden engraved panels which are topped by a gold dome. It’s very majestic.

This quirky candy coloured monument is an iconic landmark of Russia. Built in the 1500s, the fairy-tale like cathedral consists of many colours as well as spikes, polygonal towers and onion domes. The cathedral’s interior is just as spectacular as it features intimate chapels adorned with lots of engravings.
Wat Rong Khun, Chiang Rai, Thailand
This extraordinary Buddhist temple is extremely eye-catching with its intricately carved décor and ornate sculptures of mythological figures. The Thai Wat Rong Khun shrine consists of white mosaics which signify purity, while the mirrored décor all over the temple’s walls represents Buddhist wisdom.

This Art Deco style skyscraper is a big hit to New York’s skyline, standing out with its glistening stainless-steal spire, terraced arches and triangular windows that reflect natural light. The 77-storey Chrysler building was designed for the Chrysler founder, so it also features some unique car-themed designs.
Cathedral of Brasilia
The Cathedral of Brasilia is an excellent example of contemporary religious art. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the iconic Brazil monument features 16 concrete columns as well as a glass roof and stunning stained glass windows. The entrance to the cathedral is adorned with 3 symbolic bronze sculptures that represent Evangelists.
